CNTT 1: CHILD DEVELOPMENT
Meaning, Scope, Need, Importance, Aims and Objectives of Early Childhood Education/ Nursery Education. Introduction to child care and development, basic concepts in child development, principles of child development; Factors influencing child development: Heredity and environment, maturation and learning, Intelligence, Emotional and Social factors, health and nutritional status of children, Stages of development with special reference to Early childhood (3-6 years of age): , physical, motor, language, cognitive, social and emotional development of children, Importance of play in child’s physical, motor, language, cognitive and socio emotional development
CNTT 2: MOTIVATION AND LEARNING
Concept of Motivation; Factors affecting motivation for learning; Motivating young children for learning;
Learning- Concept of Learning; Psychology of learning, Process and outcomes of Learning, Types of learning; Factors affecting learning: Factors associated with learner’s learning experiences and factors associated with men and material.
